It was a great honour and a pleasure for me to participate at the third International Week for teaching staff, at the School of Management and Economics, which took place in Heraklion (the main academic campus of TEI Crete) from 13 to 15 May 2019.

The theme of the International Week was «Entrepreneurship and New Trends in Tourism», so my prepared course of the lectures “Modern Trends of Tourism” perfectly suited to that and raised a true interest both from the students of the TEI of Crete (renamed during our visit to Hellenic Mediterranean University) and lecturers from the other countries. I also highly appreciated attendance of the lectures held by my colleagues from the other EU universities, such as Dr. Rainer Elste from Esslingen - University of Applied Sciences (course of lectures dedicated to Digital marketing) and others. We had also meetings with the administrative staff of the holding university, such as Irini Dimou, the Academic Director of the International Relations Office, during that we spoked about various forms of cooperation between HEIs, such as teachers and academic staff visits, students exchange, internship both at the university and at the related enterprises of hospitality industry etc. During the week I also enjoyed several socializing events, such as guided tours to Knossos Palace and the Heraklion Archaeological Museum, accompanied by the true star of the holding university, archaeologist and Erasmus coordinator Gareth Owens.  I was absolutely satisfied with my participation at the international week as I found the topicality of my lectures up-to-date, attractive for the audience, I also gained knowledge throe visiting lectures of my colleagues from the other universities, had several meetings concerning cooperation of ISMA with the other partners, such as representatives of the Rey Juan Carlos University, Spain, Vives University of Applied, Belgium, Instituto Politecnico de Beja, Portugals and many others. I also enjoyed cultural life and spring sun of Crete as well!
