ISMA full-time students, who have completed at least one year of studies (bachelor degree program) or one semester of studies (master or doctoral degree program) can apply for Erasmus+ study mobility. The duration of the mobility can be one semester or a full academic year. Applying for study mobility is twice a year: in autumn for spring semester (deadline - September 30) and in spring to fall semester (deadline – March 30). Student can apply for study mobility at any foreign partner institution (depending on its study program), which is participating in the Erasmus + program and with whom ISMA has signed an inter-institutional agreement.

List of Partner HEIs

The main requirements for the student's participation in Erasmus+ study mobility to be accepted:

  • good knowledge of the English language (or one of the languages of the EU member states, depending on the HEI),
  • No academic and financial debts.

To apply for study mobility, student must complete an application form. The completed and signed application form must be sent electronically by e-mail erasmus@isma.lv or submitted in hard copy to the International Relations Department coordinator, build 6, office nr. 206.

Application form

The most successful students will be awarded with EU financial support and co-financing from the Latvian budget to partially cover living expenses. Other students who meet the conditions of the competition are also offered the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus+ program, without receiving a financial support, and covering all living expenses themselves, as the amount of financial support is limited.

Students do not have to pay any tuition fee at the partner institution. However, it is the students’ responsibility to continue paying tuition fee at ISMA according to their payment schedule.

During studies abroad:

  • students must comply with the provisions of the concluded Erasmus + grant agreement for ERASMUS+ studies, as well as the conditions of the study agreement;
  • any changes in the Learning agreement must be immediately agreed in writing by the student with ISMA and the partner university;
  • students must spend the full study period at the partner institution, pass the necessary examinations or other tests and observe the rules and procedures of the partner institution;
  • at the end of the mobility period, students must receive a transcript of records signed by the partner institution. It indicates the acquired study courses and summarizes the obtained credit points (ECTS) and marks;
  • students at ISMA must ensure full academic recognition of the subjects successfully completed;

Upon returning from studies, students must submit the following documents to the ISMA International Relations department coordinator in accordance with the deadlines specified in the Erasmus + grant agreement for ERASMUS+ studies:

  • Certificate of Stay - signed and stamped by partner institution coordinator,
  • Learning Agreement – signed and stamped by the partner institution, student and sending institution,
  • Transcript of records - issued by the partner institution after the study mobility period.
